CULTURAL PROJECTS
 
Traverse Area District Library - Traverse City, Michigan
Associated architect for a new 56,500 sq. ft. district library facility. Completed in 1999.

Charlevoix Public Library - Charlevoix, Michigan
Associated architect for the renovation of the existing middle school into new 22,000 sq. ft. library facility. Completed in 2006.

Dennos Museum Center - Traverse City, Michigan
New construction of a 40,000 sq. ft. community art, science and cultural center and 365-seat auditorium for Northwestern Michigan College and the Traverse City Community.

Goodwill Inn- Traverse City, Michigan
New 24,700 sq. ft. homeless shelter on Keystone Road. Completed in 2005.

Nappanee Public Library - Nappanee, Indiana
7,500 sq. ft. addition and 5,200 sq. ft. renovation of an existing library facility originally built in 1937.

Round Barn Theater - Nappanee, Indiana
A new 350-seat theater addition at Amish Acres, a project that incorporated the relocation of a turn-of-the century round barn.

ECCLESIASTICAL PROJECTS

Saint Francis Catholic Church- Traverse City, Michigan

• Currently working on master planning and design for church additions and renovations.

Lake Ann Baptist Camp - Lake Ann, Michigan

• A new 600-seat camp chapel. $1,750,000
• A new 500-seat, 15,000 sq. ft. dining hall.
• A new 6,024 sq. ft. welcome center.
• Master planning activity ongoing.

Central United Methodist Church - Traverse City, Michigan

• A 96-seat chapel and columbarium addition to Central Church (consistent with the AAI master plan completed in 1986).
• Addition and alteration to the sanctuary and educational wing, barrier-free access to all levels.
• Facility and site master plan for long-range planning (two phases implemented to date).

Grace Episcopal Church — Traverse City, Michigan

• Addition linking parish hall and church educational facility.

Advent Lutheran Church - Lake Ann, Michigan

• Currently working on programming for a new church building.
• Alterations to Lake Ann's existing Fire Garage to create a sanctuary and office space. Completed for minimal cost in December, 2006.

Church Of Jesus Christ Of The Latter Day Saints - Northern Michigan

• Contract architects for seven new or remodeled churches in northern and mid Michigan.

EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES

Grand Traverse Academy - Traverse City, Michigan

• A 28,880 sq. ft. junior / senior high school addition to the existing elementary school.
• Construction: $2,600,000
• Bids Taken: 10 / 27 / 04
• A 15,600 sq. ft. early elementary addition to the existing school, as well as initial development of a future high school addition. Documents and drawings were also created to renew the school's existing planned unit development (PUD) with East Bay Township.
• Construction: $1,800,000
• Bids Taken: 4 / 2000

Mesick Consolidated Schools - Mesick, Michigan

• A 2,450 sq. ft. 2 classroom addition to the elementary wing of the elementary / middle school.
• Construction: $233,160

Benzie County Central Schools - Benzonia, Michigan

• New 600-seat auditorium. Cost: $2,035,000
•  34,000 sq. ft. classrooms, gym, labs, and library addition to the middle school wing. Cost: $2,603,000
• New 42,000 sq. ft. K-5 elementary school. Cost: $3,458,000
• 4-classroom, computer lab, and library addition to the Betsie Valley Elementary School.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Middle School - Traverse City, Michigan

• A 50,000 sq. ft. 6-7-8 school for the Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools. Cost: $3,971,000

Northwestern Michigan College - Traverse City, Michigan

• 68,000 sq. ft. M-TEC Advanced Technology Center. Cost: $7,242,771
• Beckett classroom building. 34,269 sq. ft., 2-storey classroom and office building. Construction completed in September, 1996. Cost: $2,863,000
• Renovation of Boardman Lake Campus classroom building for University Center use. Cost: $1,259,000

Traverse City Area Public Schools - Traverse City, Michigan

• Four new 42,000 sq. ft., 400-student elementary schools. Cost: $2,200,000 each
• Nine addition / renovation projects.
• Numerous re-roofing and energy projects.
• Addition at West Junior High School.
• Additions and renovations to Central Senior High School.
• A three-year project designed and bid in phases.
• Completed: February, 2001. Cost: $15,450,948
• Four-classroom addition to Westwoods Elementary School.
• Six-classroom addition to Courtade Elementary School (2007).
• Currently working on addition to Traverse City High School.
• Currently working on renovations to Central High School and West Senior High School.

Northwest Michigan Council Of Governments - Traverse City, Michigan

• A 16,200 sq. ft., 2-storey office / classroom addition to an existing building at the Boardman Lake Campus of Northwestern Michigan College designed for conversion to classroom use later on.
• Third-floor addition done four years later.

Buckley Schools - Buckley, Michigan

• A design-build project with Vell Construction
• A new free-standing high school gymnasium building. Cost: $1,195,000
• Classroom and art / music room additions.
• Elementary classroom addition.
• Computer lab.

Kalkaska Public Schools - Kalkaska, Michigan

• Middle School: 10,435 sq. ft. classroom addition. Construction: $472,099
• Cherry Street Elementary School and Annex: Renovation of 14,695 sq. ft. of existing building, including window and boiler replacement. Construction: $563,828
• Birch Street Elementary School: 10,920 sq. ft. classroom addition and 52,000 sq. ft. re-roof including replacement of boilers. Construction: $1,026,334
• Rapid City Elementary School: 23,527 sq. ft. classroom / kitchen / multi-purpose room addition and renovation of 11,900 sq. ft. of existing building. Construction: $1,810,000
• High School: 32,100 sq. ft. classroom and lab addition, renovation of 33,000 sq. ft. of existing building. Construction: $3,040,000

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

Huntington Bank - Various Locations

• Renovation to Campus Plaza location (2007).
• Currently working on design for a new branch in East Jordan.

National City Bank - Traverse City, Michigan

• A new branch facility located on US-31 South.

Empire National Bank - Traverse City, Michigan

• A new facility located at the Grand Traverse Mall.
• Three new branch bank facilities.
• Renovation of the main office building.

Traverse Bay Area Education Credit Union - Traverse City, Michigan

• 4,400 sq. ft. addition to original facility.
• New Bay Street office.
• New Eighth Street branch.
• New Acme branch is in the schematic design phase.

GOVERNMENT / MUNICIPAL PROJECTS

Grand Traverse County - Traverse City, Michigan

Current and completed work on the following projects:

• Old Courthouse renovation and expansion.
• First-floor renovation of Governmental Center building. Completed in 1999
• Renovation of existing LEG administration area into release housing – under construction.
• Renovation of Woodmere building to house the Law Enforcement Center – completed in 2004.

Downtown Development Authority Parking Structure - Traverse City, Michigan

• Associated architect for the Park Street Project in downtown Traverse City.

Benzie County - Beulah, Michigan

• Two-story addition and renovations to Benzie County Governmental Center.

Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) and Sand Storage Buildings - Cherry Capital Airport, Traverse City, Michigan, for the Northwest Regional Airport Commission.
31,200 sq. ft. garage and 5,574 sq. ft. administrative wing. Separate sand storage building on same site. Completed in 2007.

Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Building - Cherry Capital Airport, Traverse City, Michigan, for the Northwest Regional Airport Commission.
18,827 sq. ft. including 4 equipment bays, offices, day / training room, living quarters, 3-storey observation / operations tower. Completed in 2005. Cost: 2,790,000

Expansion and Renovation to SRE Building and New Sand Storage Building - Alpena Regional Airport, Alpena, Michigan
6,900 sq. ft. addition with 4 truck bays, support space and a new 560 sq. ft. sand storage building. Construction completed in 2005.

FIRESTATIONS

New Commission November, 2004 - Traverse City, Michigan
New Township satellite fire station prototype design for Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department.

Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Building - Cherry Capital Airport, Traverse City, Michigan, for the Northwest Regional Airport Commission.
18,827 sq.ft. including 4 equipment bays, offices, day / training room, living quarters, 3-story observation / operations tower. Bids taken 08/19/04. Cost: 2,790,000

Suttons Bay-Bingham Fire & Rescue - Suttons Bay, Michigan
12,200 sq. ft. addition to and renovation of the 5,800 sq. ft. existing facility - equipment/vehicle storage and office space. Construction complete 2005 - cost $1.6 Million. This was a design-build project with Grand Traverse Construction Company.

Frankfort Fire Hall - Frankfort, Michigan
10,900 sq. ft. vehicle storage facility and administrative building now under construction. This is a design-build project with 45th Parallel Construction Management, Inc.

Traverse City Fire Station # 1 - Traverse City, Michigan
New vehicle storage and office facility.

Blair Township Fire Station - Blair Township, Michigan
New 9,000 sq. ft. vehicle storage and office / meeting room building.

HOSPITALITY / RESORT PROJECTS

Crystal Mountain Resort - Thompsonville, Michigan

• New spa addition to the pool building in the construction document phase.
• New bungalows development in the schematic design phase.
• Trailside residential development in the construction phase.
• Phase I & II Cottages at Water's Edge: Phase I - 11 units completed, Phase II - 5 units under construction. Final six units slated for spring construction in 2005.
• Park at Water's Edge: A new gate house / pool building at new outdoor swimming pool.
• Kinlochen Lodge: A new 27,000 sq. ft. clubhouse, restaurant / bar and ten quarter-share lodging units.
• Current design studies for a new Village Center.
• Crystal Center - A 34,000 sq. ft. conference and ski rental facility.
• Mountain Top Condominiums: Phases I thru IV-B.
• Pinehurst Green and Mountainside four-unit condominiums projects.
• The Inn At Crystal - 36,000 sq. ft. guest suite / 28 room, registration & office complex.
• Renovation of existing dining room.
